Assessment of Physico – Chemical & Biological Parameters of Water Bodies

A ten day certificate program was organized by the PG Department of Chemistry, St. Thomas College, Bhilai and APSGMNS Govt. PG College, Kawardha on Study of ASSESSMENT OF PHYSICO – CHEMICAL & BIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF WATER BODIES from 2^nd to 14^th September 2023. The keynote speaker of the inaugural session was Dr. Bharat lalSahu, Assistant professor, Department of Chemistry, Guru Ghasidas Central University, Bilaspur, C.G. He talked on the Physical, Chemical and Biological parameters of drinking water.Dr.James Mathew Principal/HOD of St Thomas College, Bhilai in his Presidential address stated about the importance of good drinking water. DrDebjani Mukherjee, IQAC co-ordinator also spoke on the occasion. There were100 participants from both the colleges in this 10 days program. Dr. James Mathew was the Conveners of the program. Dr. ChandaVerma and Dr. DeeptiJangde organized the program.Dr. Bharat lalSahu, Assistant professor, Department of Chemistry, Guru Ghasidas Central University, Bilaspur, in his inaugural address explained the validation procedure of water quality parameters. There were 10 speakers in this program on different days.. Dr. Manoj Kumar Banjare, Assistant professor, Department of Chemistry, MATS University, in his valedictory address explained about the treatment of waste water by nanotechnology method. Dr. Arvind Kumar Sahu, Mr. TejPrakashYadav and Mr. Anil Varghese assisted in conducting the program. This program has been conducted by the inspiration of Rev.Fr.Dr.Joshi Varghese, Administrator St. Thomas College, Bhilai.
