77th Independence Day celebrated

On occasion of 77th Independence Day, a patriotic and colorful program was organized in St. Thomas College, Ruabandha Bhilai. First of all Principal Incharge Dr. Chanda Verma hoisted the National Flag and congratulated all the staff members and students for celebrating 77th Independence Day. She also motivated all students to be always ready and dedicated to serve the nation.  Dr. Kiran Bala Das, Asst. Professor PG Dept. of Economics and Dr. Neetu Raj Asst. Professor PG Dept. of zoology shared their patriotic views on this occasion.  This initial program was conducted by NCC Female Officer Dr. Surekha Jawade. After this session a cultural program with patriotic songs, poems, speeches and colorful dance was conducted in joint collaboration with NCC and NSS unit of the college. Principal Incharge Dr. Chanda Verma also conducted Oath Taking for students to stop and avoid ragging in college campus. The cultural program was conducted by NSS Volunteers Khomendra Sahu and Dhriti Vaishnav and vote of thanks was proposed by NSS Program Officer Mr. Mahendra Ikhar. During the program IQAC coordinator Dr. Debjani Mukherjee, heads of various departments, other faculties and staff members were present in the program.
