As per the notification received from NAAC Bangalore, St. Thomas College is accredited with A Grade.  NAAC peer team visited the college on 15^th and 16^th December, 2022. In this evaluation process College scored 3.08 CGPA and got A grade. The Chairman of this visit was Professor Suhas Pednekar, Vice Chancellor University of Mumbai. Other members were Professor Pramod Kumar from Agra and Dr. Pargat Sigh Garcha from Ludhiana. On this achievement

Manager Bishop of the college His Grace Alexios Mar Eusebius congratulated and gave his blessings to all the staff, students, alumni and parents and wished for better performance of the college in coming future. Former Administrator of college Rt. Rev. George Mathew Ramban and Former Bishop Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius also congratulated all the staff members for the commendable result. Administrator of college Rev. Fr. Dr. Joshi Varghese congratulated the college family and said that the college is dedicated for quality education and overall development of students. Principal of the College Dr M. G. Roymon congratulated all the professors and staff members and said that in this achievement the hard work of all the employees and outstanding performance of students played an important role.

Asper the notification released by Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya, Durg.75 Students of St. Thomas College has secured prominent position in the University Merit List for the academic Session 2021-22. 10 Students earned 1st position and secured Gold Medal. Priya Sai of (M.Sc Physics)Ku.G.Priyanka of (M.A-Psychology) and Miss Garvita Agarwal, (MA IV Semester English).This is a pleasure sharing moment that Students from all the departments have bagged Positions in Top-10 Merit List of  Hemchand Yadav University, It is glorious moment for the college that  in B.A (I-Year ) all 11 merit holders are from St. Thomas College Bhilai and all ten from (M.A- Psychology), 7  students have secured in university Merit position  from B.Sc (III Year), 10 from B.com-III , 5 from (BCA-III), 2 from M.Sc Botany, 2 from (M.Sc-Zoology) 2 from (M.ScBiotechnology) 2 from( M.Sc Microbiology)6 from ( M.Sc Chemistry) 1 from ( M.Sc- Computer Science) 4 from (M. Sc Physics) , 5 from (M.A- English)2 from (M-.Com) and 6 from ( BBA VI Semester) The excellent academic ambience and the innovative teaching and learning of the college have always helped the students to excel in academics. College Chairman Bishop H.G. Alexios Mar Eusebius, Administrator, Rev. Fr. Dr. Joshi Varghese, Principal, Dr. M.G. Roymon, HOD and all faculty of the Department congratulated the merit holders.

As per the upcoming NAAC visit and inspection a Mock Drill was organized in St. Thomas College, Bhilai on 2^nd December, 2022. Dr. Sushil Chandra Tiwari, Principal Govt. Girl College, Durg was the Convener of this Drill. The members of the team were Dr. Rajesh Pande, Principal Govt. College, Utai and Dr. G. A. Ghanshyam from Higher Education Department, Chhattisgarh. It is worth mentioning that this year St. Thomas College is presenting all the achievements of college in the fourth cycle of NAAC inspection. In the college educational, cultural, sports, NSS, NCC, Women Cell, Eco Club and other cells are conducting continuous activities for the welfare and development of students. At the end of this one day visit a grand cultural program was presented by students of the college.  Finally Dr. G. A. Ghanshyam presented a brief summary report of a daylong inspection and appreciated the demonstration of all the departments and cells. He wished that the college will get the excellent grade in the upcoming NAAC visit. Along with this he also provided valuable inputs for improvements in the presentation of Principal as well as NCC, NSS and Sports. Principal of college Dr. M. G. Roymon said that the college will definitely try to present its best in front of the NAAC team members. IQAC Coordinator Dr. Debjani Mukherjee proposed the vote of thanks towards the members of mock visit for their important suggestions and guidance. The program was conducted by Dr. James Mathew, Head P.G. Department of Chemistry. On this occasion heads of various departments, other faculty members, non teaching staff and students were present.
