The NCC Cadets (37 CG BN NCC)  of St Thomas College  took  part in   State Forest Department tree plantation drive   on 20th July 2017  at Hignada , Dhamda Block. As many as six crore saplings were planted  in Chhattisgarh this  year under CAMPA scheme, National Bamboo Mission, MGNREGS and under State Government’s ‘Van Mahotsava’ and Greenery publicity campaigns.

Our college students took part actively in this  plantation drive  taken up in our State under Hariyar Chhattisgarh ( Green Chhattisgarh)  drive before arrival of monsoons.

Notably, our students became  aware of  protecting the environment in an era of  negative impact of climate change. The forest  minister Shri  Mahesh Gagola  , Principal Dr M.G Roymom and the staff members congratulated the NCC team  for  their   efforts.
