The Library services of St. Thomas College organised a Workshop on “use of electronic resources” with a view to utilize various search techniques to locate information from e- resources. Chief Guest and resource persons for the workshop were Dr.  S. Sen Gupta (Librarian) Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University ,Raipur and Dr. Mohammed Imtiaz  Ahmed (Deputy Librarian) Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Raipur. Librarian of the college Ms. Ritu Biswas  extended a warm welcome to the gathering. The Chief Guest Dr. S. Sen Gupta (Librarian) Pt. Ravishankar Shukla university, Raipur in his address said that the rapid advancement of  information and communication technology (ICT) has brought a revolutionary change in the information scenario giving rise to a number of options to handle varied information sources conveniently as a result e-resources have become the most sought resources and is satisfying varied needs of students, teachers, and researchers. Dr. Mohammed  Imtiaz  Ahmed (Deputy Librarian) Pt. Ravishankar shukla university, Raipur gave an overview of  various e-resources and the problems and issues faced by faculties, research scholars and students of college and university in accessing e-resources. He also spoke about the facilities being extended to Indian universities through INFLIBNET. It was followed by questionnaire session where in all the queries were answered by resource persons. Mr.  Mahendra Ikhar shared his views on the workshop. Principal of the college Dr M. G Roymon said that this workshop will help all the participants to know how to use e- resources in best possible manner to save time and efforts. Treasurer of  St. Thomas Mission, Bhilai Rev.Fr. Aju k. Varghese and convenor of library development committee Dr Mariam Jacob were present for the workshop. Dr Sheeja  Varkey conducted the program and Ms V Shanti  proposed vote of thanks. All the faculty members and research scholars participated with great enthusiasm.
